Keep Some Quick Meal Ingredients Handy For When Time Is Short.

All right I admit I don’t always like to cook, especially when time is short and we have run behind because of what seems like endless errands and such. While it would be much easier to just run through a drive thru on occasions like this, I hate doing that especially when it comes to supper.

What I have done is to keep on hand the ingredients for 3 or 4 meals that I can “whip up” in a short amount of time, without having to run to the grocery store.

Depending on the tastes and size of your family you may have other ideas for quick meals but these are mine.

1. Chicken and Noodles.

I make my own noodles, they are super easy and they freeze well. I often triple the batch when I am making them, since I am going to have noodles drying out on my table anyway I might as well do a bunch at once and throw a few bags in the freezer.

When I boil a chicken it is just as easy to get a big pot out and do two or three and freeze some of it.

THE SWIFT, SILENT, DEADLY WARRIORS’ BATTLE AGAINST STRESS

In the 1990 movie entitled Navy Seals, the actor Charlie Sheen played the role of Lieutenant Dale Hawkins, a young and aggressive Navy special forces operator assigned to a team of highly-trained commandos that were given a mission to track down and grab a known terrorist. During their mission to neutralize the terrorist, Hawkins was assigned to guard a door below the room where their target was fast asleep. Itching to get into action, Hawkins left his post and accidentally encountered one of the terrorist leader’s guards. His unauthorized action prompted a heavy firefight between his Navy Seal team and the armed bodyguards of the terrorist leader. When the smoke cleared, one of his team mate. lay dead in a pool of blood. The post-mission evaluation clearly pointed out that Hawkins made a mistake that cost the life of one Navy commando. What was supposed to be a silent, uneventful special operation turned into a running gunbattle that was not part of the original mission plan. After that incident, the movie portrayed the character of Lieutenant Hawkins as a man plagued by guilt about the loss of his team mate. Stress and anxiety slowly eroded

Whining Your Way To Health, Happiness & Prosperity With EFT

It’s such a struggle having to be positive all the time.

Having a good attitude. Seeing the bright side to everything. Life’s hard enough as it is and when that becomes apparent, sometimes it really *is* right and proper to really express yourself.

You know, emotions build up. Or should I say, energies build up. And up. It is just like a pressure beginning to rise – hardly noticeable at first, then more and more. The pressure grows, the energy gets denser and tighter. And then there comes the point where the energy body needs to have this pressure removed or else it seriously starts to hurt, seriously starts to unbalance body and mind – and that’s why and when people blow their tops, start shouting or the tears begin to flow.

Of course, the reason for this is a blockage in the energy system, a stopper in the flow that causes the normal energy flow to back up and creates this pressure scenario. When you take out the blockages, the energy rushes through and out and phew – what a relief! That’s when people say, “Oh that’s so strange, that feeling isn’t there anymore – I feel fine now!”

Checking Accounts For Couples

It was not very long ago that when a couple were married their finances became merged and everything was as one. Today, many people are opting to keep things separated for a variety of valid reasons. Because of the way society has unfolded, our finances have become extremely complicated with a large amount of debts, child support, and loans that they may have gotten prior to marriage. It really depends on the situation of the couple as to rather a separate checking account will work or not.

The first thing that needs to be done is that both of you will need to sit at the table and discuss all options that are available to you, be honest and open about your financial wellbeing and make an informed and mutual decision. Traditionally, couples open a checking account of the joint type, this is best way of merging finances together on both sides. However, it is important that both parties be responsible for the comings and goings into that joint account. This will require consistent communication, saving receipts, and updating the register constantly, this will provide the other person with knowledge of what has been happening. This may not be

Oil On Canvas: Painting Conservation 101

Conservation is defined as remedial attention given to extend the life of a work of art. The process often reconstitutes missing material by additions. These additions may be either visible or invisible and serve to restore the work’s unity.

One of the most noticeable defects the public observes on a painted surface is craquelure. Craquelure appears as a minute crazing pattern on a painting’s surface. The following layers make up a painting:

1. Stretcher bars are covered by a canvas support

2. Canvas is coated with a sizing medium

3. Gesso (a ground layer) is applied over the sizing medium

4. Paint is layered over the sizing medium

5. Varnish is capped over all these layers

Ideally all these layers dry uniformly. When the harmony of these layers is disrupted, a problem results, requiring conservation. For instance, as the different layers absorb and release moisture, expansion and contraction take place. As the materials age, the ongoing process of change can take its toll. Vibrations when art is transported can be harmful to one or more layers, even though temperature and humidity are controlled.

Returning to craquelure, it is understandable that the canvas has responds to a change in

Maui Hotel Or Maui Condo?

Maui hotel or Maui condo?? It’s the burning question on everyones mind! What should you do? Maui hotel? Maui condo? Which should you choose? The sweat is pouring down your face and you can feel the pressure building…Okay! Okay! Maybe it’s not that burning, after all! It is, however, a very important decision if you are planning a Maui vacation.

The answer depends on what you are planning to do on Maui. If you are going to Maui for just a few days, you will probably want to get a hotel room. Most hotels have very minimum stay requirements, if any. You can just check-in for a night or two and be on your way. They also have daily maid service to keep your room clean and fresh.

If you are looking for a longer stay, you will probably want to stay in a condo. Most condos have a minimum stay requirement, especially if you stay in a privately owned condo. Most private owners require you to stay a minimum of 7 nights. During holidays, the requirement may be as much as 14 nights. I know of a few owners that will allow a 5

How Can You Become A Better Writer?

I have been writing professionally for more than two decades and teaching writing nearly that long. Every conference, every writing staff, and every class has always included some writer who asks: “How Can I Become A Better Writer?”

They don’t usually like my answer. “Practice writing every day and read to study the writing of others every day.”

They don’t like the answer for one of two reasons usually. Some people are looking for some quick fix, magic formula that will make them a good writer in three easy steps. Although my suggestion involves only two steps it is pretty obvious that it is a long-term project. The other group of people will sneer at the first because they consider themselves “real writers” but they don’t like the answer any more than the others. They believe they have a gift that simply needs to be unlocked by the magic key that published, successful writers possess.

The simple truth is that there is no way to improve your writing other than to continually practice your craft. Write every day. Experiment, plan, revise, and revisit. Make challenges, deadlines, and competitions. Push yourself and your writing will reward you. I promise.

The Movie Rental What Are You Doing Tonight?

A movie rental is a great way to brighten your night. When you are home alone with no obligations, think about popping in your favorite movie and spend some time winding down from the day. Just relaxing with a great show and a couple of snacks is a great way to brighten the end to an otherwise dull or stressful day.

A movie rental is also a great idea for the whole family. All families should have time where they do things together. While this may not seem like quality time, its actually a great way to strengthen bonds. Movies are a good source of shared conversations, and there is nothing wrong with unwinding as a family either.

You can pop a bag of popcorn, or you can go a healthier route if thats a concern. Those extras dont really matter – when you are all together, its great. Fruits and nuts can be great alternatives to less healthy snacks. Or you can skip the snacks entirely. Just make sure that your movie rental is a good one, and everyone will be too busy watching to realize they arent eating.

One of the hot things in renting

Ghost Mothers

So many women talk about their relationships with their mothersno matter how old they are. For some, their mother, from whom they have supposedly separated long ago, still occupies a central place in the psyche. Shes too close, shes too much. She has advice, is nosy, and interferes. The daughter wants time away, she wants boundaries, and fights for her separation from her mother.

For others, the mother still occupies the psyche, but with a wrenching kind of longinga mother that is biological and even sometimes present, but also a mother who is so self-involved as to be emotionally absent, or literally out of the picture. This kind of mother takes up space and energy as a nagging, missing piece, a ghost. Her image hovers, her memory, or perhaps a dream of how it could have been, should have been, but never is.

Which kind of mother do you have?

My mother was a dream. I realize now, 10 years after her death, that I was always trying to get the dream to come trueto have her be warm and huggy, to have her want to know me, to visit me in my house, to know my children.
